Patricia L. Hall is a partner with WilliamsMcCarthy LLP. She focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, and appellate advocacy while also serving as a guardian ad litem for the Winnebago and Boone County family courts.

J.D., Northern Illinois University College of Law, cum laude
B.S., Arizona State University, magna cum laude

Patricia represents individuals in all aspects of family law, including divorce, dissolution of marriage, child custody, child relocation, child support, maintenance, post-decree matters, orders of protection, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements and cases involving the entry of qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs).

Patricia’s injury practice includes both plaintiff and defense work and covers a wide range of issues, including auto injuries, slip and fall and dog bite cases. As part of her injury practice, Patricia also represents clients in vaccine injury cases before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.  While fairly rare, as with any medication, it is possible to experience a range of adverse effects from vaccinations. Some of these vaccine injuries can cause lifelong illnesses or disability, and unfortunately in some cases, death. In 1986 the Federal Government passed the Vaccine Injury Compensation Act recognizing that vaccines can cause serious adverse reactions. The Act created a program through which those suffering from the debilitating effects of vaccine injury could be compensated. It is possible to experience serious side effects or injury from any vaccine. If you think you or a loved one has experienced a vaccine injury, you may be eligible to file a claim.

Patricia has successfully represented clients in the Illinois Appellate Courts and has a particular interest in appellate work. She is also a contributing author to the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s 2022 publication on appeals.

Patricia routinely hears cases as an arbitrator participating in the Illinois 17th Judicial Circuit’s Court Annexed Mandatory Arbitration Program.

Patricia is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Patricia is a volunteer lawyer for Prairie State Legal Services Volunteer Lawyer Program assisting victims in domestic violence cases. She is a member of and has served as a Director on the Board of Directors for the Winnebago County Bar Association. Patricia is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel where she actively serves on the tort committee.
