Tyler Slack Named Partner; Troy Haggestad Named President
ROCKFORD, Ill. (January 13, 2021) – Williams McCarthy LLP, a full-service law firm located in Rockford, is pleased to share that Tyler B. Slack was recently named partner and Troy E. Haggestad has been named the firm’s president.
Slack is in the litigation department and focuses his practice in the areas of family law and general civil litigation. He joined the firm in 2013 after his graduation from the University of Illinois College of Law. He has obtained favorable outcomes for his clients both at trial and the appellate court level.
A native of Sycamore, Illinois, Slack has strong ties to the northern Illinois region, and lends his talents to the board of directors for the Rock River Valley Pantry as well as other community initiatives.
Earlier this month, Haggestad was elected to serve as the firm’s president. He joined WilliamsMcCarthy LLP in 1995 and is one of the senior members of the Employment Law and Litigation Groups. He has served on the board of directors for Williams McCarthy for many years and succeeds John J. Holevas, who will continue to practice as a senior member of the Litigation Group while remaining active in firm management as a member of the board of directors.
Haggestad has actively contributed to the Rockford community as a member of the Board of Directors of Klehm Arboretum, the Winnebago County Bar Association, The Literacy Council, Visiting Nurses Association, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Rock River Valley and Hope for Haitians.
