Kim joined WilliamsMcCarthy LLP in 1984, and became resident managing partner of the firm’s Oregon, Illinois regional office. Kim’s community commitments have included memberships in the Oregon Rotary Club and the Oregon Chamber of Commerce. In both organizations he served as President and held a variety of executive and administrative positions.

Kim is a member of the Ogle County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Managing Partner of the Oregon office. Kim served as a member of the Board of Directors of the firm for twelve years. Probate matters, taxation, real estate transactions, and personal injury litigation are those areas of the law in which Kim serves his clients. He also serves as the Byron, Illinois City Attorney.
Kim served for two years each as Chairman of the Ogle County Division of the Rock River Valley United Way Campaign and as Chairman of the United Way Allocations Committee. He has also served as Chairman of the Oregon Park District’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee. In 1997, Kim was chosen as Oregon’s Citizen of the Year. Currently, he serves as a board member of the A. Charles and Lillemor Lawrence Foundation.
