WilliamsMcCarthy LLP today announced the recent addition of Associate Brandon T. Klages. He focuses his practice on litigation, land use disputes, and employment agreements, policies, and procedures.
Before joining WilliamsMcCarthy LLP, Klages served as a law clerk and case analyst for the Illinois Innocence Project and a legal staffer with Hart, Southworth & Witsman in Springfield, Illinois. He also was selected as a summer associate at WilliamsMcCarthy in May 2021, gaining broad experience and supporting attorneys and cases in Employment Law, Litigation, Family Law, Estates & Trusts, and Real Estate practice areas.
Klages earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Illinois, Springfield.
“We are very excited to welcome Brandon back to WilliamsMcCarthy as an incoming associate,” said Troy Haggestad, president of the firm. “He is a perfect example of the value of our summer associate program. He gained an appreciation for WilliamsMcCarthy and the Rockford community, while we were able to determine that he was a good fit for our firm and clients.”
Brandon has a history of volunteering with the Illinois Innocence Project. Several cases he was involved in have resulted in full exonerations of wrongfully convicted individuals. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys baseball and boxing, as well as exploring Rockford’s downtown.
