Stephen E. Balogh, a partner with the firm’s litigation group, has just been appointed as chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section Council by incoming ISBA President, John Thies.  

The Section Council, comprised of judges and experienced attorneys from all over the state and representing both management and employees, serves nearly 1,500 member attorneys.  The Section Council is responsible for keeping its members apprised of developments in the law in the area of labor and employment and for providing accredited continuing legal education.  Steve’s term as chair will end in June, 2013. 

Laura Mruk, an associate with WilliamsMcCarthyLLP, was also appointed to the Labor & Employment Law Section Council as an Associate Editor of the Section’s newsletter.
