Stephen E. Balogh, WilliamsMcCarthy LLP litigation partner, appointed secretary of the Illinois State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section Council.

At the recent annual meeting of the Illinois State Bar Association, WilliamsMcCarthyLLP partner, Stephen E. Balogh, was appointed secretary of the ISBA Labor & Employment Law Section Council, meaning he will be the chair of the section in 2012/13.

Membership on the section councils of the ISBA is by appointment of the ISBA President-elect. The various sections of ISBA provide continuing legal education to ISBA members, publish articles of interest, and serve as a resource to state legislators, each in a concentrated area of law.

Other members of firm are currently serving on other Section Councils, including: Thomas P. Sandquist, on the Commercial, Banking & Banking Law Section and is its newsletter editor; John J. Holevas, on both the Federal Practice and Civil Practice Sections; Carol A. Hartline, on the Workers’ Compensation Section; Adam M. Fleming, on the Corporations, Business & Securities Section; and, Laura D. Mruk, on the Federal Practice Section.
