Background

Richard A. Berman was born in Chicago, Illinois. While attending law school, Mr. Berman served as a member of the Editorial Board of that university's Law Review.

His legal practice has been limited almost exclusively to Workers' Compensation defense work. He has lectured extensively in that field as a guest speaker and as a faculty member of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Illinois State Bar Association Law Ed Series, and the National Business Institute. Mr. Berman is active in various legal and civil undertakings, and is past President of the Janet Wattles Mental Health Center where he continues to serve that organization as a member of the Janet Wattles Foundation Board.
