Background

Erik P. Lewis is an associate in the firm’s transactional group. He practices out of the firm’s Rockford, Illinois, office.

Erik graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2009. While attending law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. His article, Unmasking "Anon12345": Applying an Appropriate Standard When Private Citizens Seek the Identity of Anonymous Internet Defamation Defendants, was published in the 2009 volume of the University of Illinois Law Review. Prior to law school, Erik graduated with honors from New York University.

Erik worked as a clerk for the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission in Springfield, Illinois, during the summer following his first year of law school, and then as a Summer Associate for WilliamsMcCarthy LLP following his second year. He currently serves as a Standards of Accountability Review volunteer for the United Way Rock River Valley and is participating in the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
