Background

Thomas P. Sandquist is a partner in the firm's Rockford office and concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, loan workouts, and collection matters, as well as real estate and corporate work. He is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin and is admitted to practice before the federal court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Western District of Wisconsin.

Mr. Sandquist graduated, cum laude, from Rockford College in 1985, and graduated, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1988. He has been with WilliamsMcCarthy since graduating from law school.

Tom is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association, where he served as Chairman of the Real Estate Section in 1993, and the American Bar Association. He currently serves on the Section Council for the Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, serving as its chairman in 1999. He has been a member of the Section Council since 1992.

Mr. Sandquist has also been very active in community organizations serving as President of the Rockford College Alumni Association in 1990, and serving on the Board of Directors of RocVale Children's Home from 1992 through 2001. He has served on the Milestone, Inc., Board of Directors since 2001 and currently serves as chairman. He served on the Board for the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross from 2001-2006.
