Kim joined WilliamsMcCarthy in 1984, and became resident managing partner of the firm's Oregon, Illinois, regional office. Kim's community commitments include memberships in the Oregon Rotary Club and the Oregon Chamber of Commerce. In both organizations he has served as president and held a variety of executive and administrative positions.
Kim served for two years each as chairman of the Ogle County Division of the Rock River Valley United Way Campaign and as chairman of the United Way Allocations Committee. Currently he serves as Secretary of the Oregon Rotary Club Foundation. He has also served as Chairman of the Oregon Park District's Citizen's Advisory Committee. In 1997, Kim was chosen as Oregon's Citizen of the Year.
Kim is a member of the Ogle County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Associations. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Managing Partner of the Oregon office. Kim served as a member of the Board of Directors of the firm for twelve years. Probate matters, taxation, real estate transactions, and personal injury litigation are those areas of the law in which Kim serves his clients.
