Wendy S. Howarter, a partner in the firm's litigation group, concentrates her practice in commercial, civil, and personal litigation. Licensed in Illinois, she practices mainly out of WilliamsMcCarthy's Oregon, Illinois, office.

The majority of Wendy's practice is focused in the civil litigation area, which includes several contractor clients and municipal issues. Her extended litigation focus includes trial work including premises liability, forcible entry and detainer, foreclosure, and various types of collection procedures.

Ms. Howarter is a member of the Trial Bar of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Ogle County Bar Association (past secretary/treasurer), the American Bar Association, and a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

She is past president of the Oregon Chamber of Commerce and served a three year term on the board. Wendy is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts Guild of Ogle County and a Chamber Ambassador. Since 1999, she has also served as the City Attorney for Oregon, Illinois.

Wendy continues to provide commercial and civil litigation to an ever increasing client base of companies and individuals in a variety of areas.
